Riverside, Illinois - Known for its early 20th century architecture, delightful town center and expansive parkways, Riverside is considered to be the first planned community in the United States and was designated a National Historic Landmark. One immediately notices the antique-style gas street lanterns transporting you back in time allowing you to fully appreciate the village’s original aesthetic charm.
